The Federal Prosecutor's Office in Belgium launched an espionage investigation after receiving a tip from NATO's security services, which then detained the suspect on Friday.

The alleged spy, a Canadian citizen of Chinese origin, was working as an intern at SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe), where military officials plan and command joint strategy, tactics, and operations.
